Tornado is the new Coltri Compressors chiller , designed and engineered in collaboration with one of the leading companies in the sector to be perfectly integrated on our compressors. Not only that, we have designed it to be easy to use. Extend the life of your charging station using Tornado!

How a chiller works

The general operating cycle is very similar to that of a refrigerator: the idea is to reduce the temperature of the air under pressure. Why do this? The aim is to let the air reach the dew point so that the humidity present inside the pressure circuit condenses.

Condensation? Dew point? The condensation it is nothing more than the passage of humidity from the gaseous to the liquid state: in this way it is possible to discharge the humidity before it reaches the filters. The dew point instead it is the temperature to which the air must be brought in order for the water vapor present to condense, without changing the pressure. It is exactly the natural phenomenon with which dew is created on our lawn at night (or frost in winter!)

The results

The life of the filters is extended remarkably, removing the condensate before arriving in the cartridges and we get higher quality air .

The advantage is also significant from a strictly economic point of view: it does not take much to amortize the cost of our chiller, especially if you work in hot environments. The reduced consumption of Coltri cartridges (the only ones able to comply with the limit values of harmful substances set by the DIN EN 12021 breathing air standard on our compressors) generates guaranteed savings over time, especially if combined with a workload lower than compressor (therefore a lighter routine maintenance!)

Do you want even more from your Coltri? You can combine the use of Tornado with PRESEC filter monitoring or the MULTIGAS gas measurement system. In this way it is easy to optimize the residual humidity values, guaranteeing an even more economical operation of the machine: in fact, it allows you to change the cartridge once it has reached complete saturation and not before.
Less cartridges used, more savings, more quality.
